Review: Diorskin Forever foundation

.
'This luxurious foundation stays flawlessly smooth and looks naturally perfect in any environment. An exclusive nano-stretch network inspired by nano-textile technology to insure makeup will fit like a second skin and a unique hydra-gel moisture-stabilizing system, Dior takes smoothing, wear, and comfort to the ultimate extreme of beauty. Non-transfer and waterproof.'

I bought this foundation at the beginning of the year, so I've had it for a good few months now. I originally bought it because my friend was using it and it looked so good on her, also I'd seen a lot of good reviews on other blogs, so I was really excited to try it!

At £28.50, it's the second most expensive foundation I've ever bought (the first being Laura Mercier's tinted moisturiser at £32.) It's a medium coverage foundation and covers imperfections really well. I usually apply it to my skin using my fingers, it has a semi-matte finish but still leaves my skin with a glowy look. It makes my skin look flawless and feels nice and light on my skin, not heavy at all or mask-like. The consistencey of it is very light and not as thick as some of my other foundations like MAC's Studio Fix Fluid, and a little goes a long way (I usually use 2 pumps for my whole face and blend it down my neck.)

I had heard that a problem many people found with this foundation is that it tends to oxidize on the skin and go darker during the day, however I haven't really noticed this (probably because I like to bronze myself up with NARS Casino bronzer.) The only thing I'm not fond of is the smell, as it's quite heavily perfumed and a bit overpowering, however once applied to the skin this isn't a problem at all.

I really like this foundation! I love the finish and how it makes my skin look and I find it lasts well during the day. It is expensive but a little goes a long way so I think this will last quite a long time. I would repurchase this in the future.

Diorskin Forever Extreme Wear Flawless Foundation SPF25 costs £28.50 for 30ml.

  1. Loved this foundation. Gives great coverage and lasts well too. I had problems with it oxidizing and turning orange on me though which was a shame x

  3. I used to own this one, and it is extremely luxurious indeed when you apply it, it feels like a thin veil of silk with good coverage.

  6. Chloe: I do like it for summer, it's got a nice, light coverage and I like how it makes my skin look dewy. I've got the oil-free one and the only thing i don't like is the consistency as it's quite thick and I find it hard to blend as it dries quickly.

Ohhh I'll have to have a look, thanks hun! xx
