This luscious ultimate guide to makeup contains everything you ever needed to know about makeup and is written for ordinary women of all ages.'

I received 'The Ultimate Makeup Guide' by Rae Morris, last year, for Christmas. The book has 14 different chapters covering a range of topics from essentials for makeup kits, eye colour charts, step by step guides for different eye makeup looks and tips for blush, foundation, contouring, highlighting, bronzing etc. As you can see from below, the book is full of gorgeous photographs and it's lovely just to flick through, to see all the different makeup looks on the models.

The step by step guides are written with clear, precise instructions, which are easy to follow and each guide is paired with more gorgeous photographs. There's a multitude of different eye makeup looks which you can create including - 'Rock Chick eyes', 'Cleopatra eyes' and 'Smoky eyes.' There are also many other guides, including ones for contouring, bronzing and highlighting. In these sections the before and after photos are brilliant, as they show just how much of a difference contouring and highlighting can make to the face. As well as the makeup guides, the book also has helpful information on different topics, such as foundations and the different types of coverage/finishes, which eyeshadow suits your eye colour and everything you should have in your makeup kit.

This is a great book covering all the basics for makeup application and it's full of helpful hints and tips which you can use. The photographs are absolutely stunning, and illustrate the different looks perfectly. This is a brilliant book and definitely worth a read. You can get it on Amazon.co.uk for only around £10, so it's not expensive either!
