Review: Maybelline Falsies Mascara

'The Falsies Mascara delivers a false lash look; giving you a full set of voluminous, bold, fanned out lashes and the appearance of no gaps from any angle. The Pro-Keratin and Fibre enriched formula is designed to deliver immediate results, distributing volume and visible intensity to your lashes. The patented ‘Spoon’ shaped brush helps fan lashes out.The Falsies Mascara is designed to give the appearance of no gaps and spaces. In a wink lashes you didn’t even know you had look visibly thickened!'

In typical Maybelline fashion, the Falsies purple mascara tube is bright and eye-catching.

The 'spoon-shaped' mascara brush is designed to 'fan lashes out' to give the appearance of 'no gaps and spaces.' I actually really like the design of the brush as it's flexible, not stiff, so adapts nicely to your lashes, coating every one of them, including the ones in the very corners.

Falsies promises to give '300% more visible, fuller lashes.' I usually find a lot of the mascaras which promise to give a 'false lash' effect have very wet formulas and tend to clump the lashes, so I was really pleased to find that Maybelline's Falsies has just the right formula to give volume and length to lashes without clumping and weighing them down.

I find with just one coat of Falsies, my lashes look lengthened and volumized, but I do like to do two coats, to really emphasize my lashes and give them a bit more volume. I wouldn't apply more than two coats, as I think it could start to clump. I also find this mascara holds the curl well and doesn't flake or transfer during the day, which is a pet hate of mine.

Overall, I am so pleased with this mascara. I bought it on a bit of a whim and wasn't really expecting to like it that much, but I can definitely see myself repurchasing this. My favourite thing about Falsies is the spoon-shaped brush, which easily coats every single lash and delivers amazing length and volume. It's also very reasonable priced at £7.99.

My New 'Hermes Style' Purse

At the weekend, I accompanied my friend to a bag party. There was a whole room filled with handbags, purses, jewellery, sunglasses and accessories - all designer copies inspired. I purchased this Hermes style purse which cost £25. It's a rich, tan coloured leather with lots of compartments and pockets, which is why I like it. There are two small pockets at the front, two compartments inside, 3 card slots on the inside and a removable pouch, with 6 more card slots (in the last photo) which I use to hold all of my change. If the pouch is removed, my phone and lipstick fit in there nicely so it could even double as a clutch bag for a night out! It's a really good quality purse and I love the style of it.
